Ben Myles brings several years of Ruby on Rails experience and over six years of web application development to Integral Impressions. Having worked as a professional Rails developer since mid-2005, he possesses sought after knowledge and skills that are hard to find in the still young Ruby on Rails community.
Ben’s interest in Ruby on Rails developed after much frustration with Microsoft’s ASP.NET framework. Tired of the framework’s consistent emphasis on doing things the tedious (and wrong) way, Ben looked for alternatives. At the same time, a pre-release version of Ruby on Rails had just been released. Ben instantly fell in love with the not just the technology, but also the community and methodologies.
Ben has partially completed Computer Science, Behavioral Science and Law degrees at Griffith University and the University of Wollongong, but has found his true passion has always remained software development.
